(Ed. Note: Kevin has a special home in our chapter. He is an integral part of how we became TKE as opposed to another fraternity. Do you notice how the founders were Chi Tau Omegas? As the story goes, Kevin is a member of Alpha Tau Omega from another university. Being on his fourth college he teamed up with Brent, Derek, Tom, Kurt and Harold with the desire to start a social fraternity at CSUSB - the Delta Sigs were pretty lame. With Kevin's connections, they intended to become an ATO chapter - hence the XTO name. However after many months of trying, ATO decided that the UCR chapter was too close to CSUSB and said no. Since these men were determined to have a national affiliation (and IFC wouldn't let them join without one) they eventually became a TKE chapter. Although Kevin was never initiated as a Teke, he is by far one of the best reasons anyone should.)
