TKE means alot to me. I remember the day I went to the TKE table during rush as if it were yesterday. It was a windy day in the spring of 1990. I knew I needed to do something to break out of my shell and I felt TKE could help me. The four guys at the table all seemed to be genuine and appeared to think highly of their (now mine) fraternity. I remember going home and telling my father that I was planning on joining a fraternity. I remember him looking at me and saying, "What, your crazy." It was obvious that my father did not think that it was a good idea. But I decided that it did not really matter what he thought since it is my college experience. So I rushed anyway.

I eventually became an active member and am a proud member of the ZETA Class. TKE gave me many opportunities to break out of my shell. I was able to become a DJ at the school radio station for about 2 years. I was also a Histor, Hegemon and IFC Secretary. These activities helped me gain self-confidence in my self and taught me how to achieve my goals.

I am proud to let people know that I am a Teke. I graduated seven years ago, but my car still has a TKE license plate frame for everyone to see. I believe that TKE is a lifelong experience. All of my closest friend are Tekes. I go to sporting events with Tekes, dinners with Tekes, three tekes were in my wedding, I've been in two Teke weddings, other Tekes work for the county, I run across Teke driving to work, Tekes in restaurants, Tekes at the gym, wives of Tekes, girlfriends of Tekes and a Teke in my family (Brent Casey married my wife's cousin). Tekes are every where and I am proud to be one of them. Teke is a very important part of our lives (Amy and I). We feel at home with these men and their families. I would also like to say that my father eventually warmed up to me being a Teke. I am pround to say he is now a proud Teke dad.

I am working as a probation officer for San Bernardino County in the Bars! tow Office. I have been there for four years. The two years before (1996-98) I worked for Riverside County Probation at a Military Bootcamp in Idyllwild. I got married on December, 19, 1998, to Amy Frankowski. We bought our first home in Rancho Cucamonga in April 2000. She is a teacher for the Colton School District.
